RECENT EVENTS!

Project Backpack

Thank you to everyone who made project backpack in Immokalee a success! On August 14th, we gave out nearly 800 backpacks for kids to start the school year! It was a fun day with food and games. We thank the Immokalee Sports Complex for hosting the event as well as Salvation Army, Immokalee Foundation, Immokalee Housing and Family Services, Redlands Migrant Christian Association, and Summit Church for making this event possible.

Middle School Servant Event

Shining in the son

DCEs from Grace Lutheran, Naples, Zion Lutheran and St. Michael Lutheran, Ft. Myers, and the Amigos en Cristo ministry combined efforts to create a middle school servant event June 11-12 for the SW FL circuit. “Shining in the Son” was based on Matthew 5:16.

Saturday afternoon the groups gathered in Immokalee. Some of the service included mulching, painting, cleaning, and organizing children's ministry supplies, the food pantry, and clothing closet. In all, 39 youth and 13 adults made a great difference.

We learned to "Shine in the Son", being reminded that our Savior has blessed us with a variety of talents and abilities that we should let shine within our churches, homes and in the community and to be servants even in small ways wherever we are.

Spencer Michael Greenleeee

We mourn the loss of our friend, brother in Christ, and fellow worker. Our loss is his gain as he is celebrating with our risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Although we rejoice in his victory, we grieve our loss and pray diligently for his wife Ashby, their unborn child Trooper, Spencer's friends, family, as well as for ourselves and all those who miss him deeply.
